Clinical Supervisor I/II, Medical Surgical Nursing

The Stevenson University Clinical Supervisor I or II for Medical Surgical (MS) is a part-time staff position responsible for clinical teaching and/or supervision of students in a MS clinical setting. This role involves planning, organizing, and evaluating clinical education experiences, as well as providing written clinical evaluations of student performance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and assign clinical duties to students, ensuring they meet learning objectives.
- Conduct post-clinical conferences with student groups to discuss performance and provide feedback.
- Evaluate student performance of clinical skills, including patient care and written assignments.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to resolve issues with clinical sites and students.
- Participate in course meetings, required site orientation, and student meetings.
- B.S. degree in Nursing required for Clinical Supervisor I; M.S. degree or higher in Nursing required for Clinical Supervisor II.
- Registered nurse licensed in Maryland or another Compact State with recent experience in the relevant specialized field of practice.
- College-level teaching experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and with various learning styles.
This position requires sitting and standing for long periods, as well as the ability to speak clearly and effectively for an extended period. The position may also require additional hours for meetings and events, including days, evenings, and weekends outside of regular clinical hours.
