Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with patients to obtain medical history, chief complaint, and other relevant information, and record it accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Take vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Order tests and obtain prior authorizations as needed
  • Coordinate patient care with providers and assist with treatments as required
  • Follow up with patients on test results and doctor's orders
  • Manage clinical supplies, including refrigeration and vaccinations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred or relevant experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and intermediate computer skills
