About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering exceptional medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Perform venipuncture and IVC placement, administer SQ fluids and medications, and work closely with technical staff to ensure hospitalized patients receive the best possible care.
  • Recognize subtle changes in clinical status and provide compassionate care to patients, including discharge instructions and basic record keeping.
  • Participate in surgical preparation and assisting, anesthesia monitoring, and dentistry and dental radiographs, maintaining accurate medical records and preparing surgical suites and patients.
  • Fill prescriptions, perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging, and provide a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22 to $26 per hour.
