KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Director of Radiology or the Regional/Site Manager, you will:
- Coordinate patient appointments for radiological and/or DEXA examinations.
- Generate radiographs to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
- Ensure patient safety by minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Utilize established concepts, practices, and procedures in your daily tasks.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating all necessary diagnostic equipment for exams in general diagnostic and fluoroscopy areas. This role requires adherence to pre-defined instructions and guidelines while working under direct supervision. A degree of creativity and independence is encouraged.

Demonstrate proficiency in job-related skills relevant to your customer demographics and departmental services while providing outstanding customer service. Operate equipment and mechanical devices to maintain a functional, effective, and safe environment. Follow all policies, procedures, and guidelines related to departmental operations.

Effective communication with physicians, patients, and the public is essential, as is the ability to foster positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices for CT is expected.

  • Initiate IVs for CT exams as required.
  • Assist technologists with patient throughput, exam preparation, and injection materials.
  • Observe and learn CT procedures for patient screening, table setup, positioning, and exam selection as directed.
  • Enroll in the Pulse Radiology CT Cross-Training course within the first year of employment.
  • Be open to relocating to acquire necessary CT procedures for CT Registry eligibility.
  • Complete CT Registry within two years of your start date.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program from an AMA-approved institution.

Licensure/Certification:
- Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the A.R.R.T. is required.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the State is necessary.
- Valid CPR certification is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of three years of experience in Radiological Imaging is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role may involve lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, prolonged sitting, and frequent standing and walking. Good visual and auditory acuity, manual dexterity, and clear communication skills are essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities is crucial.


DRESS CODE:

Ceil blue or pink scrubs, depending on the department.
