Job Summary:

St. James Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our imaging department on a per diem basis. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing all Cardiac Ultrasound examinations as requested by referring physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with patients throughout the echo exam, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians to accurately integrate data for optimal diagnoses.
  • Maintain professional competencies and stay up-to-date with the latest medical sonography techniques.
  • Perform exams within the department and portably, meeting patients' needs.
  • Apply evidence-based healthcare practices and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support a culture of safety and quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Clinical experience and a degree in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • RDCS, or RDMS, CCI preferred, with CPR certification.
  • Ability to move or transfer patients with an individual effort equal to 50 lbs.
  • Full range of body motion to successfully perform all essential functions of the job.

Working Conditions:

Potential exposure to chemicals and communicable diseases and related medical waste.

Salary:

Minimum $33.83, maximum $39.95.
