Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Dundee MI Hotel, part of VP Management's hospitality portfolio. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel by maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the building, equipment, and guest rooms. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Dundee, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and equipment.
  • Complete work orders and conduct preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all maintenance issues are resolved quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and repair any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory.
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and minimize disruptions to guests.
  • Adhere to all safety and security procedures and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
