The Manager of Environmental Services for the 2nd shift is tasked with creating and implementing facility solutions to guarantee compliance with all health and safety regulations. This role involves maintaining a physical location or site according to client specifications. The manager oversees the operations of facility accounts, ensuring that all areas of responsibility meet established objectives and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Complete ownership and accountability for operational management and financial performance of the unit.
- Guide employees by fostering a shared understanding of goals and methods to achieve them.
- Recognize and reward employee contributions.
- Identify and nurture top talent, helping team members reach their full potential within the organization.
- Organize and lead team management meetings.
- Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards across all operations.
Client Relations
- Establish and maintain effective rapport with clients and customers to foster mutually beneficial relationships.
- Assess client needs and communicate operational progress effectively.
- Exemplify and promote the standards of customer service excellence.
- Support initiatives for new business development and client retention.
- Design programs (facilities, custodial, energy, grounds, or maintenance) to align with client and customer requirements.
Financial Management
- Drive revenue growth and manage budgets, focusing on cost control in labor, supplies, and inventory.
- Ensure timely completion and accuracy of financial statements related to the department.
- Oversee and ensure achievement of financial targets for both clients and the company.
- Implement all organizational processes and systems, minimizing custom or manual reporting.
- Analyze performance metrics, data, and inventory trends; educate teams on key factors to enhance margins.
Operational Efficiency
- Implement and uphold the General Manager's agenda for labor and total quality management.
- Create value through streamlined operations, effective cost controls, and profit management.
- Ensure consistent application of operational standards and processes, particularly focusing on sustainability efforts to reduce energy consumption and improve labor productivity.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Exhibit key leadership behaviors and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and service excellence for employees, clients, and consumers.
