Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled New Home Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our community development team, you will be responsible for assisting the New Home Senior Project Manager in lot modifications and preparations for new home setups. This role will be based out of our Rice Lake, WI office, with approximately 60% travel to our communities in Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Preparation and Evaluation: Conduct thorough site surveys and evaluations to prepare for new home orders, ensuring that all necessary preparations are made to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Research and Compliance: Research home setbacks at the local level, including city and county regulations, to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Locate, vet, negotiate, and contract with vendors to ensure reasonable pricing and control of costs, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Project Management: Manage and track new home shipping, setup, and vendor oversight to ensure timely completion of new homes.
  • Travel and Communication: Travel approximately 60% of the time, maintaining effective communication with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of project management or similar experience, preferably in the construction or facilities management industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, but a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of physical facilities, including construction and renovation; excellent customer service skills; ability to develop and negotiate proposals and contracts; advanced skills with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and follow-through skills; valid operator's license and reliable transportation.
