Nursing Unit Supervisor

Position Overview:
Are you a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) seeking a pivotal role in healthcare leadership? The RN Unit Manager is responsible for the oversight, planning, and coordination of nursing care and health education for residents in a skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), State-Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs), and other staff members.
- Review and implement nursing procedures and protocols.
- Assess and evaluate systems that enhance the quality of care for residents and the performance of the nursing team.
- Utilize a systematic approach in the nursing process to deliver personalized nursing care.
- Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
- Evaluate residents' responses to nursing interventions.
- Understand the rationale for medication and treatment usage, administering them correctly as required.
Qualifications Required:
- Current nursing licensure in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification; additional certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
- Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is desirable.
