Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in our operations by analyzing and optimizing current manufacturing processes, implementing engineering solutions, and improving workflows. This includes collaborating with area managers to streamline workflows through automation, improved inventory management, and enhanced task ergonomics, aiming to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and optimize current manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop return on investment (ROI) justifications for proposed projects during budget planning.
  • Collaborate with area managers to implement engineering solutions that drive continuous improvement in our operations.
  • Lead new product trials, including the creation of pre-trial documentation and post-trial action plans.
  • Implement a 6S program, reviewing it monthly with area managers.
  • Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions for production-related customer complaints.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS Degree in an Engineering discipline required.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Knowledge: Experience in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a plus.

  • Safety Commitment: A strong commitment to safety as a core value and the ability to model and encourage safe practices.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
