Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning of various environments, including offices, educational facilities, and residential group homes.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows and walls.
- Ensure lights and vents are free from dust and debris.
- Conduct carpet cleaning and shampooing.
- Execute floor maintenance tasks such as stripping and waxing.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Carry out other janitorial tasks as required.
- Assist with snow removal as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of relevant custodial experience. A valid driver's license is required, along with a driving record that meets the standards set by the Agency's insurer. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves working in diverse settings, including outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Frequent travel within the county is necessary, and the ability to work independently is essential. The role may require lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Candidates should be capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions. Exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures and noise levels, is expected. The role may also involve contact with hazardous materials.
