At BayCare Health System, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of clinical engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct service and support to users for a wide range of medical devices and peripherals within the BayCare system.
  • Work extensively with the incident management system to fulfill end-user requests and resolve issues on medical devices in accordance with established SLAs and CES procedural standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and maintenance of medical devices, as well as respond to break/fix service requests.
  • Ensure that all necessary components are in place and functional to support medical devices, including power/surge protections, computer equipment, cabling, etc.
  • Responsible for moving and configuring the setup of relocated medical devices.
  • Deploy or work with Information Services to refresh computers, transfer data, and move software from old systems to new.
  • Decommission and properly dispose of End of Life (EOL) medical devices.
  • Provide local assistance to other areas during downtime to help troubleshoot issues.
  • Support various CES Field Service teams and IS Resolver groups.
  • Assist with technology refresh, inventory management, system imaging/staging, and medical device distribution.
  • Have a working knowledge of regulations, rules, and policies pertaining to medical equipment and ensure these standards are followed by outside vendors as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of related experience in lieu of technical training/program.
  • Technical knowledge of biomedical or electronics.
  • Associates degree in a related field is preferred.
