About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pulmonology Physician to join our team at Ascension Health. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization.
  • Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.
