Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images of patients, positioning and instructing patients regarding x-ray procedures, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films.
  • Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.
  • Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
  • Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
  • Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
  • Maintain X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association, required.
  • At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience, preferred.
Work Environment

This position is located at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. The scheduled weekly hours for this position are 24 hours.
