Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Pharmacist to join our team at SOFIE. As a key member of our Quality Assurance Program, you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a state of cGMP control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, including data entry and daily dose management reports.
  • Perform synthesis, quality control, and quality assurance of FDG and NaF, including reagent preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with USP, FDA regulations, and state pharmacy requirements.
  • Adhere to standard operation procedures (SOPs) and regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 211 and 212 requirements.
  • Ensure aseptic operations follow internal procedures and customer requirements.
  • Monitor radiation and laboratory safety, including addressing chemical or radioactive spills and reporting.
  • Complete cGMP documents and assist with site and corporate Quality Assurance activities.
Requirements
  • B.S. or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy school required; nuclear certification preferred.
  • State license required (to be obtained post-hire if applicable).
  • Background in nuclear pharmacy, Positron Emission Tomography, radiation safety, and/or familiarity with cyclotron processes preferred.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Pinestar or other pharmacy applications preferred.
