Role Overview:
The Security Officer II is responsible for delivering security services through positive engagement with the public, patients, staff, and management.
This role involves responding to various calls, assisting in both emergency and non-emergency situations, and documenting safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities.
You will patrol designated areas to ensure the safety of the public, patients, and staff, while being accountable for your actions and decisions in line with departmental expectations.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive patrols of assigned areas and perform all security-related tasks to uphold life safety standards.
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities or individuals.
- Respond to a range of events, including high-risk situations and natural disasters.
- Participate in non-security related activities as approved by management, which may include:
- Transporting and releasing bodies from the morgue
- Patient escorting
- Conducting safety checks
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, using sound judgment to assess situations and provide appropriate assistance.
- Administer initial first aid as per your training.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licensure and Certification:
- Certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety
- Valid Driver's License
