Job Title: Adjunct Faculty

Join Brunswick Community College as an Adjunct Faculty member in our Nursing department. We are seeking a qualified individual to teach nursing students on-campus, in clinical sites, and through other delivery methodologies.

Job Summary

The Adjunct Nursing Instructor will be responsible for instructing students in accordance with College policy and procedures. This part-time position requires a leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in clinical advising of nursing students
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise curriculum as needed
  • Maintain professional competence and environment
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Work cooperatively with peers while supporting the mission and vision of the College
  • Adhere to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the College nursing program
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Two years of clinical experience in an Acute Care setting within the last five years
  • Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, a Nurse Licensure Compact State, or to be eligible for licensure
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS
  • Current immunizations and annual tuberculosis screening
  • Current medical/surgical, ED, OB, or critical care experience required
Preferred Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Teaching experience in a community college
