Responsibilities:


The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering safe and effective patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Provides direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.

The Registered Nurse also oversees and instructs patient/family education and the activities of other nursing staff while upholding care standards within the Medical/Surgical Unit.

The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to their assigned patients.

They communicate with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.

The Registered Nurse must respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current preferred.
  • Previous experience in an Acute Care hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience with Ventilator Management preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
