Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated grad intern with a strong background in computational biology to join our Bioinformatics Technologies team at Amgen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing AI/ML models to analyze spatial omics data, including training, validation, and performance evaluation.

They will also review relevant literature to stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML techniques applied to spatial omics, tissue research, and their role in understanding disease mechanisms.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • AI/ML Model Development: Design and implement AI/ML models to analyze spatial omics data.
  • Literature Review: Review relevant literature to stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML techniques.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate within a cross-functional team to interpret model outputs, refine algorithms, and improve spatial data analysis.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master's program for a Master's internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree Concentration(s) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Data Science, Biostatistics, Biophysics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similarly quantitative field.

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $30 - $40 per hour.
