Key Responsibilities- Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff in accordance with state regulations and district policies.
- Assess and evaluate the health needs of students and develop individualized healthcare plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students with chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records for students.
- Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.
- Maintain confidentiality of student health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in School Nursing preferred or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
