About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Breakthrough Healthcare, a leading provider of home health services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to develop, recover, or maintain vital life skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance clients' quality of life by addressing performance in various life activities.
  • Tailor occupational therapy treatments to individual client needs.
  • Implement strategies to ensure safety and efficiency in daily living tasks.
  • Educate clients on adaptive techniques and task breakdown.
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to clients' living environments.
  • Prescribe and instruct on the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Support and train family members and caregivers.
  • Monitor and document client progress and treatment efficacy.
  • Provide consistent follow-up care.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational therapy.
  • In-depth understanding of occupational therapy principles and methods.
  • Competence with computer programs and creative media.
  • Knowledge of ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Up-to-date on current treatment practices and a passion for professional growth.
  • Professional conduct and exceptional communication skills.
  • A valid Missouri occupational therapy license.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
