1.0 OVERVIEW
Operate and manage various advanced computerized nondestructive testing apparatus to identify the most suitable inspection techniques for each unique scenario.
2.0 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assess materials or products for flaws such as fractures, voids, and incomplete welds.
- Demonstrate proficiency in inspection methods including eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, fluorescent penetrant, visual, and thermographic techniques.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications to confirm the specified dimensions of components or materials.
- Evaluate products for structural integrity issues such as leaks or internal fractures.
- Make informed decisions based on inspection results and provide technical recommendations.
- Record inspection outcomes and communicate findings to the Engineering team, assisting in the technical evaluation of components, including life assessments.
- Offer technical and financial insights on recommendations and process improvements.
- Mentor new inspectors in accordance with ASNT standards.
- Assist in ISO 9001 audits and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure that products fulfill or surpass internal and customer standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
3.0 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety protocols, reporting any unsafe practices to Management or Human Resources.
- Engage in proactive team efforts to accomplish departmental and organizational objectives.
- Contribute to fostering a positive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management across all levels.
