Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Waterfront Rehabilitation. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Functions:
    • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Center.
    • Periodically review the department's policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc. and make recommendations for revisions.
    • Provide discipline and evaluations of assigned nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Issue verbal and written disciplinary warnings to assigned nursing personnel for violations of current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Nursing Care:
    • Provide direct nursing care to the residents.
    • Monitor the performance of nursing personnel and provide education and counseling as needed.
    • Perform disciplinary action as necessary and complete performance evaluations.
  • Education and Training:
    • Ensure that all nursing service personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions.
    • Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the Center's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
    • Participate in Center surveys or inspections made by authorized government agencies, as may be requested.
Requirements
  • Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved RN program.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
