About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing advanced technologies and concepts for the systems integration of fuzing devices, controllers, software, mechanical, and electrical interfaces for integration into missile systems and space vehicles.

You will work closely with our team to review manufacturing processes and problem resolution, as well as working directly with subcontractors on the design and manufacturing of fuzing devices. Your expertise will be essential in managing fuzing device development projects and propulsion subcontracts, providing frontline lead activities and mentoring engineers who develop fuzing devices.

This is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with their hiring manager and Department Lead to set schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Develop highly advanced technologies and concepts for the systems integration of fuzing devices, controllers, software, mechanical, and electrical interfaces for integration into missile systems and space vehicles.
  • Review manufacturing processes and problem resolution, as well as working directly with subcontractors on the design and manufacturing of fuzing devices.
  • Manage fuzing device development projects and propulsion subcontracts, providing frontline lead activities and mentoring engineers who develop fuzing devices.
  • Work closely with our team to ensure the successful development and integration of fuzing devices into missile systems and space vehicles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years or more of experience in fuzing / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design.
  • Experience with fuzing devices design, manufacturing, testing, safety certification, and/or compliance.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree.
  • Seven years or more of directly related experience in fuzing devices and their applications.
  • Systems knowledge to assure full development of fuzing device requirements and dissemination and flow down to subcomponent levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead collaborative efforts with other technical disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and systems.
