Job Summary:

The Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will deliver proficient and compassionate nursing care while adhering to the core values and mission of TravelNurseSource.

This role requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips and respond appropriately, including knowledge of IV drip titration as necessary for telemetry patients.

The responsibilities encompass patient assessment, physiological interpretation, nursing care planning, patient education, and effective communication with medical professionals.


Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in med-surg preferred; telemetry experience is a plus

Licenses and Certifications:
Current RN License
BLS-AHA Certification required
ACLS Certification required

Physical Demands:

Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Regularly reaches, handles, and feels objects, and occasionally stoops or kneels.

  • Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.

  • Educate patients and families based on identified needs and readiness to learn.
  • Collaborate in discharge planning, integrating necessary support systems.
  • Delegate and supervise nursing tasks effectively.
  • Prioritize patient care and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Document all relevant data and interventions accurately and timely.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to enhance patient care coordination.
  • Identify and address patient safety risks and ethical issues in care.
  • Administer medications and IV therapy in line with physician directives.
