Travel Nursing Professional for Progressive Care Unit

About the AssignmentWe're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse in San Diego, California. This 13-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain valuable experience in cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities- Care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care.
- Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.
- Perform basic bedside care, stabilize critical cardiac patients, change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpret and record electronic displays, and initiate corrective action whenever necessary.
- Minimum 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, moving or lifting patients may be required.
