Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription filling, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists: Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Prescription Filling: Fill prescriptions by accurately entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, ensuring information is entered correctly, and processing prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Certification: PTCB certification preferred.
  • Skills: Good math skills, good computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control.
