The Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team at 5G Dogtopia LLC. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dog grooming services, including haircuts, baths, nail trims, and teeth brushing. You will work closely with our team to ensure that every dog receives the highest level of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care to all grooming dogs, adhering to our high standards of safety and hygiene.
  • Follow dog breed standards and pet owners' instructions for clipping and trimming coats.
  • Discuss with pet owners their pets' grooming needs, identify services, and set expectations.
  • Make recommendations for styles, maintenance, and products.
  • Communicate with pet owners if a style or cut is not possible for safety reasons.
  • Assist other groomers and bathers as needed.
  • Assist pet care professionals in ensuring vaccines are up to date.
  • Record necessary information, including tools and techniques used, temperament, and potential health concerns.
  • Use proper dog handling and safety procedures, in line with our training.
  • Perform equipment upkeep and cleaning tasks as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Maintains confidentiality in our practices and all aspects of the business.
  • Welcomes all customers promptly and professionally.
  • Effectively communicates coat care, health, and behavior concerns with customers in a professional manner.
  • Schedules appointments through our software.
  • Checks dogs in and out, collecting payment.

Requirements
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, push, pull, handle grooming equipment, type on a keyboard, and use a computer mouse.
Equipment, Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience
  • Must have your own set of professional grooming tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Grooming certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional grooming experience in a salon or graduate of a grooming school with a minimum of 1 year of professional grooming experience in a salon.
