Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining commercial and institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This includes:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces including floors, walls, and fixtures
  • Emptying waste baskets and interior and perimeter garbage cans
  • Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment
  • Reporting damage and acts of vandalism
  • Performing minor maintenance repairs

Responsibilities

The Custodian will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Ensuring compliance with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations
  • Performing all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of general work experience
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and labels
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • An active Secret or Top Secret US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Previous custodial experience is preferred.
