CNA Instructor

We are seeking a qualified CNA Instructor to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching CNA training programs and evaluating student progress.

The CNA Instructor will provide students with the skills necessary to meet the physical, physiological, and psychological needs of patients. The instructor will be responsible for teaching CNA training programs, evaluating student progress, and maintaining accurate records.

• Teach CNA training programs using the course curriculum and training on required skills assessment in the clinical lab setting.
• Evaluate and document students' progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained.
• Apply knowledge of the fundamentals of the nursing process, the standards of care, and sound decision making and judgment in educational activities involving all levels of patient care personnel within the training program.
• Maintain accurate records on all students, including student files, attendance records, course requirements, and exam pass information.

• Must hold a current RN or LPN license for a minimum of 2 years and have a minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care as an RN or LPN.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain the Train the Educator (TTE) Nurse Aide Instructor certificate.
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.

The job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
