We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health.
About the Job
This is a full-time position in the Upstate Medical Pharmacy department, responsible for performing various pharmacy-related functions under the direction of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced inventory management within the warehouse settings of the Pharmacy Consolidated Service Center and/or acute care sites
- Total parental nutrition compounding and non-sterile compounding
- Pediatric responsibilities including drawing up/compounding pediatric doses
- Interprets and prepares medication orders by filling provider orders, medication kits/trays, automated dispensing cabinets, and floor stock requisitions
- Completes cart fill and code tray refills, handles controlled substances in compliance with regulations and policies
- Demonstrates proficiency with work-related computer and automation skills
Requirements
- State Certified Pharmacy Tech with the SC Board of Pharmacy
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology, good mathematical and computer skills
- Ability to work in team situations, handle urgent and stressful conditions
