Job Title: X-Ray Technician

Location: Baltimore, MD

Reporting to: Radiology Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to join our team at Top Medical Talent. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Preparation:
    • Prepare patients for procedures, including taking medical histories and answering questions about the procedure.
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures:
    • Use x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images; position patients and equipment correctly to get the best image; minimize patient exposure to radiation.
  • Image Analysis:
    • Review images to ensure good quality and coverage of the areas needed for diagnoses.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on x-ray equipment, ensuring it's in good working order.
  • Safety Procedures:
    • Protect patients, self, and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures.
  • Patient Records:
    • Keep accurate patient records as required by law, policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a radiologic technology training and certification program.
  • State licensure and/or ARRT certification.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong technical skills, including the use of medical software.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, and ability to lift and move patients.

Salary and Schedule:

  • Salary commensurate with education and experience.
  • 1st shift M-F.
