We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Nurse Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, such as ventilators and cardiac monitors, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education, support, and guidance throughout the care process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and to promote a culture of excellence within the NICU.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum one year of current NICU experience with a strong background in critical care nursing.
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certification required.
