Role Summary:
The CNC Programmer/Operator plays a crucial role in aligning with the mission and vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc. This position is responsible for the programming and operation of CNC machinery to fabricate tools based on 3D models. Reporting directly to the Machining Leader, the CNC Programmer/Operator prioritizes first-time quality while adhering to time allowances for assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Duties:
- Import, modify, and process 3D models for machining.
- Machine steel while strictly following health and safety protocols.
- Utilize provided tools and machinery; program, set up, and operate CNC machines using MasterCam and 3-Axis technology.
- Fabricate mold plates, components, cores, and cavities, maintaining tolerances as precise as 0.0005.
- Verify dimensions of machined components using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Complete necessary checklists and document any deviations from specified tolerances.
- Ensure continuity across shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs through provided logs.
- Employ the Lemoine pulse machine monitoring system effectively.
- Utilize FCS toe clamping and chucks for setup and fixturing.
As Needed:
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of machine tools and components.
- Maintain a safe working environment by keeping the workspace organized and adhering to safety regulations.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and initiating repair requests as necessary.
- Participate in required meetings and training sessions as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in CNC operation.
- Three (3) years of experience in programming CNC machines (3-Axis, with MasterCam software being advantageous).
- Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Capability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
