Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. As an LPN, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Staff RN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physician to assigned patients and document effectiveness/results on patient record.
  • Use Meditech Information System to enter and document orders.
  • Provide quality nursing care through professional practice and clinical competence.
  • Assist in development, and revisions of care plans.
  • Assist in patient admission; obtaining history, vital signs, and home medications.
  • Assist in patient teaching assignments.
  • Work willingly and accepts assignments as given.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and works cooperatively with others.
  • Participate in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Attend 75% of unit and in-service meetings.
  • Assist in orientation of new staff to position.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and programs.
  • Comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations and JCAHO standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St. Anthony's Safety Manual.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Currently licensed in State of Iowa as a Practical Nurse.
  • BCLS certification within three months of employment.
