Job Title: CDL Class B Driver

At Jewish Family and Children's Services, we are seeking a reliable and compassionate CDL Class B Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents to various destinations.

Job Summary:

The Driver will be responsible for operating a vehicle to transport residents to medical appointments, shopping excursions, scenic drives, and special events. You will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle's condition, scheduling regular maintenance, and ensuring compliance with DMV safety guidelines and traffic signs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive residents to social events, outings, medical appointments, and other destinations according to a scheduled itinerary.
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely and respectfully.
  • Clean and service the vehicle, including fueling and reporting maintenance needs.
  • May assist with delivering groceries and packages to residential rooms.
  • Utilize communication devices to coordinate with team members and ensure effective service is provided.
  • Complete travel expense reports and review schedule appointments.
  • Participate and assist with some activities and outings as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a Class B California Driver License with a passenger endorsement.
  • No serious violations and/or multiple driving violations in the past 5 years.
  • Must have a current medical clearance on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • Five (5) or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience with older adults or Residential Care Facility for the Elderly is preferred.
What We Offer:
  • Pay Range: $26-28/hr (depending on experience)
  • Employment Type: full-time, non-exempt position with benefits
  • Employer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (subject to eligibility)

  • 16 holidays (10 federal and up to 6 Jewish holidays), annually
