We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the fresh perimeter departments, including bakery, deli, produce, and market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail grocery store operations and be able to ensure the quality of product, food and physical safety, and inventory stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Department Management: Manage the fresh perimeter departments, including bakery, deli, produce, and market, to ensure quality of product, food and physical safety, and inventory stock levels.
- Merchandising and Inventory: Oversee the execution of merchandising plans, ensure adherence to Company standards and procedures, and manage achievement of store sales and profits using acceptable business practices.
- Customer Service: Promote customer service and ensure that the store is presentable for the customer shopping experience.
- Staff Management: Carry out management responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners, and scheduling, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Financial Management: Review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data, and provide verbal or written summary to upper management regarding any related issues.
- Education: Associate's degree in a related field and two or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
- Certifications: HIPAA certification, Manager Food Safety certification, AML certification, and TABC/LACT certification (where applicable).
- Skills: Intermediate knowledge of retail grocery store operations, WFM (Workforce Management), and basic knowledge of Company checkout policies and procedures.
