About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Specialist to join our team at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and billing third-party and private insurance company claims in a timely manner. This is a temporary position requiring excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bills electronic and paper claims using hospital computer systems.
  • Corrects errors detected on claim forms prior to and post claim filing.
  • Files adjustment claims based on review of available account details.
  • Analyzes and computes adjustments to accounts as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • One year of healthcare experience desired.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
