Medgene Labs, a leading provider of immunological services, is seeking a highly skilled Process Development and Improvement Associate Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for executing process development and improvement studies for the manufacture of recombinant proteins.
Key Responsibilities- Process Development: Execute experiments in small-scale bioreactors and fermenters to optimize expression and product quality of recombinant biologics.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks/batch records, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Manufacturing and Quality Control: Assist with production activities, including the manufacturing of veterinary vaccines, and ensure high-quality production standards from culture through bottling.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of Master Seed, Unreleased, and Released Products, and maintain appropriate records commensurate with regulatory guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Analyze and improve existing processes, and assist with creating conditions for increasing productivity by improving technology transfers and minimizing losses.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience with fermentation and/or cell culture, chromatography, or other downstream processing techniques.
- Skills and Abilities: Basic level knowledge and understanding of 9CFR, hazardous material handling, aseptic techniques, and good laboratory practices.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with potential exposure to human and animal pathogens, including blood-borne pathogens. The ability to work safely with infectious materials and specimens is essential.
