Automotive Painter

Job Description:

The Automotive Painter is responsible for coating surfaces of motor vehicles with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials. This involves using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices to apply a smooth and even finish. The Painter must also remove old paint from vehicles using liquid paint remover and a scraper, and smooth surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool.

The ideal candidate will have formal documented training and a minimum of five years of documented experience as an Automotive Painter. They must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently, and climb in and out of military vehicles and related equipment.

The Automotive Painter must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in cramped areas for extended periods. They must also be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including intense heat, heavy wind, heavy rain, and snow or sleet.

The successful candidate will have a valid state driver's license and be able to attain licenses on military vehicles, tactical, and non-tactical. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and the candidate must be able to pass a background check and attain a security clearance if required.
