LPN Per Diem/Flex Position Overview
Mercy Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a per diem/flex position. As a Gig Nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of shifts, including day and night shifts, to suit your schedule and preferences.
Key Highlights:
- $30/hour base rate
- Variable shift incentives
- 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available
- W-2 employee
Responsibilities:
As an LPN in our Gig Nursing Program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical units. You will work closely with our core nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery and will be expected to be flexible and adaptable in your scheduling.
Qualifications:
- One year of recent bedside LPN experience required for medical-surgical units
- Two years of recent bedside LPN experience required for other specialties
- Graduate of practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
Physical Requirements:
As an LPN in our Gig Nursing Program, you will be expected to stand and walk for most of your shift, with significant bending and stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. You will also be required to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds.
