Job Summary

The Cardiac Acute Care Unit Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex cardiac conditions, including dysrhythmias, heart failure, and myocardial infarction. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training
  • Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
  • Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree
  • National Certification in Clinical Specialty
