Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Foreign Language Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between non-English speaking patients, their families, and Health System staff. This role requires a high level of proficiency in a foreign language and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical and general interpreting for limited English proficiency patients and their families.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including training and education within the Health System.
  • Provide cultural liaison services to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bridging the Gap Interpreting Course required.
  • One year of medical interpreting experience required.
  • Expectation to obtain national credentialing as a Certified Medical Interpreter.
Physical Demands

This role requires frequent travel (distance: minimum 1 mile/daily) and proficiency in communicative, auditory, and visual skills. The ability to write legibly is also essential.
