The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our large university dining center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of staff members, including production, counseling, training, and development.
  • Oversight of daily operations, budget, and customer relations.
  • Ensure safety, sanitation, and security of building and equipment.
  • Previous experience with high-volume food service operations and supervision of employees.
  • Previous experience using automated payroll and food inventory systems.
  • Experience in counseling employees and training and development.
  • Experience with customer service and customer relations.
  • Experience in safety and sanitation in a food service setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent related experience in business management, accounting, hospitality, or culinary arts.
  • Certification in ServSafe and HACCP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office suite, email, automated payroll, automated food inventory systems, and scheduling tools.

Working Conditions

Hours of work will be Sunday-Thursday, 12:30pm to closing, which will be approximately 9:00pm.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check and a driving check with a safe driving record.
