Our Pharmacy Department uses a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model.

The department has one of the most robust sets of electronic clinical resources in the country and a dynamic medication safety program.

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our MSK Bergen team. This role will support Pharmacy services to include conventional and investigational chemotherapy/biologic therapy, and Omnicell support.

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all parts of chemotherapy order verification, order entry, mixing and checking
• Work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to maintain adequate staffing daily for the Pharmacy, moving staff around to areas as needed to smooth work-flow and treat patients in a safe and timely manner
• Be involved in implementing new pharmacy technology and projects
• Assist with training new pharmacy staff; training and education of staff on new technologies, drug info, Omnicell usage etc

Qualifications

• PharmD (or equivalent)
• NJ State Pharmacist License; Required to Apply
• Strong digital literacy and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems
• IV compounding experience (preferred)
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
• Five or more years' experience in Chemotherapy Pharmacy practice (preferred)
• Omnicell/PYXIS experience (preferred)
