Job Title: Residential Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England.

Veterans Inc. is committed to serving those who have served our country, providing supportive services that empower Veterans to achieve stability, dignity, and purpose.

The Residential Care Specialist will be part of a 24/7 team responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Veterans residing in our Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program.

Salary: $20/hour Base Rate with $2 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts; $25/hour for per diem staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Positive Relationships: Build trust with clients, staff, volunteers, and visitors through effective communication and empathy.
  • Maintain Resident Safety and Confidentiality: Utilize security measures, such as bag checks and breathalyzers, to ensure a secure environment.
  • Submit Detailed Reports: Provide accurate and timely reports of incidents, emergencies, and activities during each shift.
  • Ensure Building Security: Maintain the safety and security of company property, vehicles, and buildings on site.
  • First Responder: Respond to client-related emergencies, trained in CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year experience working in security, residential, or direct care services.
  • Certifications: Successful completion of CORI/Background records check and COVID-19 Vaccination Policy compliance.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and submit to a drug test.
