Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular team at Fairview Health Services. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Supplying and maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures
- Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens
- Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments
- Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment
- Modifying clinical interventions based on population served
- Nurturing a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking
- Anticipating the surgeon's needs
- Following appropriate action in emergency situations
- Complete one of the following by hire date: Military Surgical Assistant, LPN (licensed in MN) Surgical Assistant, or Surgical Technologist training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date)
- At least 1 year of Cardiovascular experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- AST certification or certification eligible at time of hire
- 1 to 3 years surgical tech experience
