Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including physical examinations, patient assessment, and laboratory work
- Perform venipuncture, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory tasks
- Prepare and assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals, including physical examinations and patient assessment
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Competitive hourly rate: $20 - $23 per hour
