Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to fill the role of Medical Director at our correctional healthcare facility. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing on-site medical care to inmates at the Sullivan County Jail in New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to inmates, including primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine services.
  • Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Conduct medical evaluations and make recommendations for treatment and care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Specialty training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Correctional Medicine, and/or Urgent Care.
  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Maintain current DEA number and eligible to prescribe medications in New York state.
  • Maintain active BLS (i.e., CPR) certification.
  • Maintain current Driver's License.
What We Offer
  • Negotiable salary based on experience, with a rate range of $130 - $160 per hour.
  • Company-paid liability insurance (including tail).
  • PTO / Sick Package for Part Time employees.
  • Particle licensure reimbursement offered.
