Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating architectural metals using pneumatic tools to create high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Pull material required to complete orders and perform tasks with minimum supervision
  • Basic welding to secure door components and installation of standard and custom hardware
  • Package material in preparation for pick up or shipment and maintain a clean work area
  • Utilize PC workstation to deduct material from inventory and measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy
  • Perform tasks with minimum supervision and maintain regular and predictable attendance
Requirements
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures as a prerequisite to employment
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Able to write and do basic math and basic computer skills or willingness to learn
  • Prep parts for assembly utilizing hand tools, punch presses, and mills
  • Able to read a tape measure and work well with others
  • Self-motivated and able to work in difficult weather conditions
  • Punctual and excellent attendance and be available for overtime and emergency work
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand on feet wearing safety boots from 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, and bend frequently
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
